Why choose the genuine Brother TZe-145 laminated tape
Genuine Brother TZe laminated tape: characters are printed by thermal transfer and sealed under a clear protective film. The label resists water, abrasion, common chemicals, UV and temperatures from -80 to +150 °C; the text does not rub off or fade, indoors or outdoors.
Which width, which color?
The TZe-145 tape comes in 2 widths for this color combination: TZe-135 (12 mm), TZe-145 (18 mm). Choose the width for the legibility you need and the maximum tape width your label maker accepts (6 to 36 mm depending on the model). In 18 mm, the same range also comes in gold on black (TZe-344), white on black (TZe-345), black on blue (TZe-541), black on clear (TZe-141), black on green (TZe-741), black on red (TZe-441), black on white (TZe-241), blue on white (TZe-243)...
Label makers compatible with the TZe-145
The TZe-145 is compatible with 45 Brother models (manufacturer list):
All P-touch label makers that accept TZe cassettes of this width are compatible; check the maximum tape width printed on your device.
Length and yield
8 m of tape, i.e. about 100 labels of 8 cm; label makers add a margin before and after the text (adjustable on most models). The label maker does not track the remaining length: keep a spare cassette.
Use
Open the label maker compartment, take up any slack in the ink ribbon, insert the cassette until it clicks and close; feed the tape once for the first cut. Apply the label to a clean, dry surface and smooth it down; the split backing of most TZe tapes makes the liner easy to remove. Store cassettes away from heat and direct light.
Use and tips
The TZe-145 (18 mm) suits shelving, archive boxes and everyday signage. One 8 m cassette yields about 133 labels of 6 cm; the actual number depends on margins and text length.
Store cassettes in their packaging, away from heat and sunlight; they do not dry out and keep for several years. For a durable label, apply it to a clean, dry, grease-free surface and smooth it down; wait 24 h before exposure to water or abrasion. The split backing of laminated TZe tapes makes the liner easy to remove. Genuine cassettes ensure a clean cut and format recognition by the label maker.

About 100 labels of 8 cm with 8 m of tape; it depends on the text length and margins.
Are TZe tapes suitable for outdoor use?

Is an old TZ tape the same as TZe?
Yes, TZe is the new name of TZ tapes; they are interchangeable on all P-touch label makers.
