Why choose the genuine Brother PRD1 kit
The PRD1 brings together the two consumables the Stamp Creator uses for every stamp: the film on which the thermal head prints the design, and the ink ribbon that lays the ink on that film. The film then serves as a mask for the xenon flash exposure that engraves the stamp face. Genuine films and ribbon guarantee an opaque, sharp mask, hence a stamp without clogged areas or missing lines.
Kit contents
150 print films and one 150-impression ink ribbon: both run out together, one kit equals 150 stamps whatever their size. PR stamps (10 x 60 to 40 x 90 mm, four colors) and PRINK refill inks are sold separately.
Devices compatible with the PRD1
The PRD1 is intended for the following Brother stamp creators:
- SC-2000USB (Stamp Creator Pro)
- SC-2000 (previous generation)
Yield
150 stamp creations per kit. The machine signals the end of the ribbon; films are counted by the unit. Keep a spare kit for ongoing production.
Installation
Open the SC-2000USB compartment, insert the new ink ribbon cassette as per the guide, close; load the films in the dedicated tray, print side as indicated. The Stampcreator Express software then drives the film printing and the stamp exposure.
Usage and advice
The PRD1 is for stamp makers, print shops and departments that regularly produce stamps with a Stamp Creator: one kit covers a run of 150 stamps.
Tips: keep films and ribbon in their packaging, away from dust, heat and direct light; do not touch the printed surface of the film before exposure. A poorly engraved stamp usually comes from a dirty or misaligned film.
