The 408340 is a genuine Ricoh toner, in the high yield version. The powder is matched to the fuser and speed of these printers: sharp text, even solids, proper fusing from the first page, and a cartridge recognized immediately (levels shown, no error message).
MC250H or MC250: which capacity?
The 408340 is the high yield version (6,900 pages) of the 408352 (2,500 pages): same cartridge, same printers, more toner. Above a few dozen pages a month it is the most economical choice per page.

Installation
Tool-free replacement: open the cover, remove the used cartridge, take the new one out of its bag, rock it gently to distribute the toner, remove the protections, then insert until it clicks. The printer recognizes the cartridge. The used cartridge is recycled through the manufacturer's take-back program or your local collection.
Use and tips
The 408340 suits intensive or shared use: the cartridge (6,900 pages) lasts about a year and a half at 300 pages per month and about 7 months at 1,000 pages per month.
Store the cartridge in its packaging, flat, away from light and humidity, and unpack it only when installing. At the "Low" alert, order: the printer keeps printing until the replace message. Genuine cartridges preserve the printer's warranty.
