Why choose the genuine Canon CL-586 ink cartridge

CL-586 or CL-586XL: which capacity?
The 6227C001 suits occasional or moderate use. For higher volumes, the 6226C001 (300 pages) costs less per page and is replaced less often; both fit the same printers.

Installation
Replace with the printer on: open the cartridge door, remove the empty cartridge, unpack the new one, remove the protection without touching contacts or nozzles, insert until it clicks and close. The printer detects the cartridge and runs an alignment if needed.
Use and tips
Order the 6227C001 at the "Low" alert: the printer keeps printing until the replace message, but a cartridge in reserve avoids stopping at the wrong moment.
Keep the printer plugged in and on: it maintains its nozzles and uses very little power in standby. Store cartridges in their packaging away from heat and install them before the printed date.
