Why choose the genuine HP 59X toner cartridge

The CF259XH is the high yield black cartridge of the HP 59 series. All-in-one cartridge: toner, imaging drum and developer are replaced together, so print quality is like new at every change, with no separate drum to replace. Genuine HP toner with JetIntelligence: smart level tracking, anti-fraud technology and maximized yield.

Contract version

The CF259XH is the contract version of the CF259X: an identical cartridge, sold in plain packaging under HP contractual programs (managed print services, fleets under contract). Same toner, same yield and same print quality as the standard version; it is not eligible for HP consumer promotions. For a regular single purchase, see the CF259X toner.

59X or 59A: which capacity?

The CF259XH is the high yield version (10,000 pages) of the CF259A (3,000 pages): same cartridge, same printers, more toner. Above about a hundred pages a month it is the most economical choice per page.

Page yield

10,000 pages per ISO/IEC 19752 (5% coverage, letter-type documents). Graphics or photo-heavy pages reduce the actual yield. The cost per page shown next to the price is calculated from the current price and this yield.

Installation and maintenance

Tool-free replacement: open the cover, remove the used cartridge, take the new one out of its bag, rock it gently to distribute the toner, pull the protective tab if present, then insert until it clicks. The printer recognizes the cartridge and resets the counter. Used HP cartridges are returned free of charge through HP Planet Partners.

Use and tips

The CF259XH suits intensive or shared use: the cartridge (10,000 pages) lasts over 2 years at 300 pages per month and about 10 months at 1,000 pages per month.

Store the cartridge in its packaging, flat, away from light and humidity, and unpack it only when installing. At the "Low" alert, order: the printer keeps printing until "Very low" then "Replace". The driver's EconoMode extends life for drafts. Genuine cartridges preserve the printer's HP warranty.
