Die-cut or continuous?
The continuous roll is cut by the printer to the required length (from a few millimeters to 1 m); die-cut labels have a fixed size, faster when you always print the same format. 30.48 m of roll, cut to the required length; for example about 305 labels of 10 cm. The printer detects the roll automatically; there is no ink to replace.
Use
Place the roll on its spool in the printer, guide to the front, close the cover: the printer detects the roll type. Set the length in the software; the printer cuts automatically (built-in cutter depending on the model). Thermal paper keeps best away from heat, light and humidity.
Use and tips
The DK-22225 (38 mm) suits variable-length labels: long addresses, signage, barcodes, shelving.
Store rolls in their packaging, away from light, heat and humidity: thermal paper darkens with heat and UV. DK labels are designed for indoor use; for outdoor or damp surfaces, prefer film rolls (DK-22xxx film) or laminated TZe tapes. Genuine rolls are detected automatically by the QL printer (format and length).
