Why choose the genuine Brother HSe-621E heat shrink tube
Genuine Brother HSe heat shrink tube: flat tube printed by thermal transfer, slid over the cable and shrunk with heat (2:1 ratio). Permanent marking, resistant to abrasion and chemicals, for cable and wire identification.
Which width, which color?
The HSe-621E tape comes in 5 widths for this color combination: HSe-611E (5.2 mm), HSe-621E (9.0 mm), HSe-631E (11.2 mm), HSe-651E (21.0 mm), HSe-661E (31.0 mm). Choose the width for the legibility you need and the maximum tape width your label maker accepts (6 to 36 mm depending on the model). In 9.0 mm, the same range also comes in black on white (HSe-221E).
Label makers compatible with the HSe-621E
The HSe-621E is compatible with 12 Brother models (manufacturer list):
All P-touch label makers that accept TZe cassettes of this width are compatible; check the maximum tape width printed on your device.
Length and yield
1.5 m of tape, i.e. about 19 labels of 8 cm; label makers add a margin before and after the text (adjustable on most models). The label maker does not track the remaining length: keep a spare cassette.
Use
Open the label maker compartment, take up any slack in the ink ribbon, insert the cassette until it clicks and close; feed the tape once for the first cut. Apply the label to a clean, dry surface and smooth it down; use as per the device instructions. Store cassettes away from heat and direct light.
Use and tips
The HSe-621E (9.0 mm) suits cables, small items and keyboard keys. One 1.5 m cassette yields about 25 labels of 6 cm; the actual number depends on margins and text length.
Store cassettes in their packaging, away from heat and sunlight; they do not dry out and keep for several years. For a durable label, apply it to a clean, dry, grease-free surface and smooth it down; wait 24 h before exposure to water or abrasion. The split backing of laminated TZe tapes makes the liner easy to remove. Genuine cassettes ensure a clean cut and format recognition by the label maker.

Frequently asked questions
Is the HSe-621E compatible with my Brother device?
Yes if it appears in the list above (PT-D800W to PT-P950NW). If in doubt, compare the exact reference of your device.
What is the difference between laminated and non-laminated tape?
Laminated tape protects the text under a clear film: it resists water, friction and UV. Non-laminated tape suits indoor use at a lower cost.
How many labels can I print with the HSe-621E?
About 19 labels of 8 cm with 1.5 m of tape; it depends on the text length and margins.
Are TZe tapes suitable for outdoor use?
Yes for laminated tapes: they withstand rain, sun and temperatures from -80 to +150 °C. Clean and dry the surface before applying.
Is an old TZ tape the same as TZe?
Yes, TZe is the new name of TZ tapes; they are interchangeable on all P-touch label makers.
