Why choose the genuine HP CLT-K506L toner cartridge
The SU171A is the high yield black cartridge of the HP CLT-506 series. All-in-one cartridge: toner, imaging drum and developer are replaced together, so print quality is like new at every change, with no separate drum to replace. Genuine HP toner powder matched to the fuser and paper of these printers: sharp text, even solids, no "cartridge not recognized" message.
One capacity only
The HP CLT-506 series comes in a single capacity for this color (6,000 pages). Other colors: SU038A, SU305A, SU515A.

The SU171A is compatible with: CLP-680ND, 680DW / CLX-6260ND, 6260FD, 6260FR, 6260FW.

Page yield
6,000 pages per ISO/IEC 19752 (5% coverage, letter-type documents). Graphics or photo-heavy pages reduce the actual yield. The cost per page shown next to the price is calculated from the current price and this yield.
Installation and maintenance
Tool-free replacement: open the cover, remove the used cartridge, take the new one out of its bag, rock it gently to distribute the toner, pull the protective tab if present, then insert until it clicks. The printer recognizes the cartridge and resets the counter. Used HP cartridges are returned free of charge through HP Planet Partners.
Use and tips
The SU171A suits intensive or shared use: the cartridge (6,000 pages) lasts about a year and a half at 300 pages per month and about 6 months at 1,000 pages per month.
Store the cartridge in its packaging, flat, away from light and humidity, and unpack it only when installing. At the "Low" alert, order: the printer keeps printing until "Very low" then "Replace". The driver's EconoMode extends life for drafts. Genuine cartridges preserve the printer's HP warranty.
